Battle of the Sexes pt3. First Volley!

As the prisoners began their mass exodus Red Olympian suddenly realized just how futile this battle was starting to become. Three of their most powerful were slaves to an evil teenage prom queen with mind control powers, Forty-two vicious criminals had just escaped lockup and were looking for anyway out, and her remaining teammates were just blown up by another supervillainess with explosive powers and little to no modesty. Quickly she called out to Mach-6 on her communicator, We need the potential recruits Mach! Fast! I'm the only one left here and Gavin and Micron just went off to do god knows what for this bitch.

Red was interrupted by a large explosion blasting away her cover, sending her flying back into what looked like the rec room. As the dust started to settle she saw Bombshell holding one of her capsules from her belt in her hand, charging it with explosive energy. She spoke in a calm, confidant tone. I've already killed my fair share of people, but I just wanted you to know that when I kill you, you will be my first superhero kill, and that will shoot me up into the big leagues, people will learn to fear me!

An arrow flies silently taking Bombshell unaware and knocks her capsule out of her hand and blows up the floor behind her. Red quickly knocks another arrow. You think that I'm going to go down easy lady? I've fought much tougher opponents then you and I'm still standing! I'm a member of premier superhero group for a reason, that means I'm better than you take me for. She releases the bowstring and lets an arrow fly. In mid-flight the arrowhead splits open revealing a cylinder of a very sticky glue-like substance, it hits bombshell in the belt covering her capsules and hardening to concrete toughness in seconds. Try to use your tricks now, it's on!

Bombshell picks up a few pieces of debris and tosses them at the archer hoping for a lucky shot but Red Olympian dodged each one, closing the gap between the two. The blond villainess began throwing punches and kicks at the heroine with the skill of a trained martial artist but Red was not a slacker in hand-to-hand either. Each kick either lady attempted was blocked, each punch was dodged, every grab was countered and it appeared that they were equally matched. Red saw an opening and went for it, she faked a punch to the center mass and instead rolled into a roundhouse kick to Bombshell's face. The blond went to the ground yet when our heroine went to go check to see if the villainess was down for the count she grabbed some dirt from the ground, gave it a quick charge, and tossed it into Red's face.

The explosion knocked Red back and burned her face and eyes. Certain victory was assured Bombshell casually walked to the heroine, charging up some more debris to finish her off.

Dazed, half-blind and full of pain and desperation Red pulled out an arrow and let it fly at the mass walking to her, it shot about a foot wide, Bombshell began laughing and was about to belittle the heroine even more had the arrow not changed course in mid-flight and struck her in the back, shocking her into unconsciousness.

Didn't plan on the homing arrow hitting you in the back where I placed the locator beacon during our fistfight did you?! Red took a few seconds to catch her breath before looking back into the original room where all hell was breaking loose.
